Additionally, Trump indicated he would consider similar action against Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympics due to perceived security concerns.

Although Trump lacks direct legal authority to personally cancel either tournament, he may lobby the respective governing bodies overseeing each tournament to shift venues.

These remarks were made during a news conference with Argentina's leader Milei, who was visiting the presidential residence following the revelation of a $20 billion financial assistance for the South American economy. At the conclusion of the meeting, a journalist inquired Trump about a latest unauthorized gathering in the city where authorities were assaulted and a police vehicle was ignited. The reporter also asked if such events could result in the revocation of tournament responsibilities for the larger World Cup.

“I would take them away,” Trump remarked regarding the FIFA World Cup matches, scheduled to be hosted at Gillette Stadium. “She is ineffective … she’s extremist, and activists are taking over areas of downtown. It's a significant assertion, don't you think?”

Public disruptions, a digitally organized occurrence where groups of people gather on city streets late at night to conduct vehicular acrobatics, have become a repeated nuisance in US urban areas since the lockdown restrictions. “When someone is performing poorly, and I feel there’s dangerous circumstances, I would call Gianni [Infantino], who is excellent, and suggest we should relocate it to an alternate venue,” he said publicly. “He'd do that. He wouldn’t love the action, but he would comply. Very easily, he would.”

FIFA President has publicly acknowledged his efforts to be publicly aligned with the US leader prior to next year’s tournament, scheduled to be staged in multiple US locations across the United States along with two in the northern neighbor and a few in Mexico. The permission Trump mentioned would need to come through the Olympic governing body. Their leader, Kirsty Coventry, was chosen to her post in this year and has yet to hold a public appearance with him, though she stated that she desires a meeting with Trump at eventually.

The former president also condemned Gavin Newsom’s management of recent LA wildfires, saying that a parallel incident could lead to the cancellation of the event.

“In case Newsom doesn’t play ball, we will have to be firm,” he stated.

The warning was just as clear for Boston.

“Boston must address these issues,” he said. “It's I will say.”
